Cooperative Education Program for
Equine Science Students

The Cooperative Education Program at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, assists Animal Science students with obtaining part time and full-time cooperative education positions in various equine professions such as foal sitter, horse trainer, riding instructor, barn assistant, equine veterinary assistant, therapeutic riding assistant and racetrack animal health inspector.

Cooperative Education students earn college credits while they are getting experience related to their career interests.  Faculty members act as sponsors for cooperative education students and assist them with developing educational objectives for their work experiences.
