  • 1983 - B.S., Agriculture, summa cum laude with distinction in Agronomy. The Ohio State University, Department of Agronomy. Honors thesis: The effects of no-till and conventional tillage on selected properties of a Homewood silt loam.

  • 1986 - M.S., Soil Erosion and Conservation. Purdue University, Department of Agronomy. Thesis: Tillage and crop effects on soil properties and soil loss.

  • 1991 - Ph.D., Soil Biophysics. Michigan State University, Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. Dissertation: Effects of roots and root extracts of alfalfa and perennial ryegrass on soil structural indices.

  • 2003-present - Director of Soil, Plant, and Water Analysis and Conservation. Rutgers Soil Testing Laboratory.
