The Center’s Equine Management Update and Equine Science Update, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, is its first program offering continuing education (CE) credits. The Association’s Registry of Approved Continuing Education has designated the Update for six credit hours.
The Update will begin at 2 p.m. and will include presentations on emergency preparedness, agricultural management practices for horse farms, nutrient waste solutions, the proposed national ID program for horses, environmental practices at equine facilities, antioxidants and stress, nutritional insights applied to young horses, and the use of nutraceuticals.

The American Association of Veterinary State Boards is a membership organization serving 57 jurisdictions and is the organization that reports national licensing examination scores to the jurisdictions in which a veterinarian wishes to be licensed. Its Registry of Approved Continuing Education reviews applications for providers and programs based on the standards set by the Registry. The standards are based on state board requirements and may differ from state to state, according to the AAVSB. |
