EQUINE SCIENCE CENTER ANNOUNCES

FORT DODGE ANIMAL HEALTH AS PLATINUM PARTNER

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (October 27, 2008) – Fort Dodge Animal Health, a leading manufacturer of equine vaccines and pharmaceuticals, has joined with the Rutgers Equine Science Center as a 2008-09 Platinum Partner.

The company is a division of Wyeth and a leading manufacturer and distributor of animal health care products for the livestock, swine, poultry, equine and companion animal industries in the United States and international markets. For horses, Fort Dodge is known for being the first to develop and introduce a vaccine against West Nile Virus. It produces vaccines for other equine diseases, including influenza, rhinopneumonitis, tetanus, eastern/western encephalomyelitis, rabies, EPM and others. It also produces the dewormer Quest™.

As a Platinum Partner, Fort Dodge Animal Health executives and scientists will have the option of speaking at the major gatherings sponsored by the Equine Science Center, including the annual Equine Science Update; Horses 2009, a major educational conference; Career Day, a popular event with Rutgers’ students, horse management seminars, and other meetings. The company will also enjoy high visibility in the Center’s print materials and on its popular website.

According to Karyn Malinowski, director of the Equine Science Center, “We welcome Fort Dodge as a Platinum Partner, and look forward to working with the company. It is well known that many debilitating – and even fatal – diseases that afflict horses can be prevented with vaccination. We strongly believe in preventative measures, and we applaud companies that share our goal of ‘better horse care through research and education.’”

Fort Dodge will join the New Jersey Farm Bureau, another Platinum Partner and a member of the Center’s “Community of 50 for Equine Excellence,” within the rolling marquee on the home page of the Equine Science Center’s website at www.esc.rutgers.edu. These and other partners also will be featured in the Equine Science Center’s advertorial that runs in Horse News and Pennsylvania Equestrian as well as other publications.

Information about partnerships and sponsorships is available at http://www.esc.rutgers.edu/Horses2009 or by contacting Diana Orban Brown, director of communications, at 732-932-9419.
