RINGOES, NJ (April 19, 2006) – Dr. Sarah Ralston, Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences with Cook College at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a member of the Equine Science Center, will talk about equine nutrition at “Hunterdon Horse,” an expo scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 13, 2006. The event will be held at the 4-H Fairgrounds on Route 179 in East Amwell, New Jersey.

More than 60 vendors including tack shops, farm equipment vendors, grain and feed companies, and other horse-related businesses will display their products and services. In addition to Dr. Ralston’s presentation, “Facts About Myths in Horse Nutrition,” guest lecturers and horse training demonstrations will provide educational opportunities. Workshops on equine management, legal issues and farm maintenance, as well as horse demonstrations from top trainers, will round out this one-day event.

Admission is $6 per vehicle. The Chamber will be donating a portion of this fee to the 4-H and the Hunterdon County Education Foundation's Dreams Come True Therapeutic Riding Program.
